Information Summary
Mazda6 completely different in design and philosophy than its predecessor Mazda 626, which can not be said to be the successor of 626. Compared to 626, Mazda6 shorter than 3.6 inches, one inch wider and one inch taller. While wheelbase is almost the same.
The chasis redesign make driving not only more fair but also improve the level of the cabin silence. Mazda claims the silence level of Mazda 6 is better than most luxury cars in Germany.
Base engine of Mazda 6 is a new engine capacity of 2.3 liter DOHC inline four-cylinder with a number of new technologies such as S-VT (Sequential Valve Timing), TSCV (Tumble Swirl Control Valves), a single catalyst converter mounted under the floor and dual-pipe exhaust manifold. This machine can produce 160 hp at 6500 rpm and 152 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm.
