Information Summary
Toyota was launched as Gaikindo Auto Expo in 2003 and sold 100,000 units during the year. The name “Avanza” comes from the Italian avanzato, which means “improvement”.
Toyota Avanza is also marketed in some Asia Pacific countries such as Malaysia (Version 1.5G comes with Airbag), Thailand, and Philippines, but it is also marketed in South Africa and Mexico.
While Daihatsu Xenia also sold in the People’s Republic of China with a configuration of 4-cylinder engine capacity of 1500cc like Avanza.
